Justin & Leslie: Styled engagement shoot at Point Defiance

Justine and Leslie are one of our 2019 couples… when we first met for coffee earlier in the summer they described their ideal wedding as moody, baroque and a little bit punk and we were sold!

Since then the venue is booked (super excited to be returning to Sole Repair in Seattle which we love!) and a ton of incredible details have been arranged, like, only the Bride’s favorite musician of all time agreeing to fly in from the East Coast to officiate and play their reception. There is no doubt about it, this wedding is going to be one of a kind, and we have a dream team of our favorite vendors to make the magic happen!

With the wedding being a little alternative, it was no surprise that these two were looking for something extra special for their engagement session too. We were so excited to team up with our fave vendors a year before the wedding to give guests a little peek into what to expect from the big day itself.

The talented groom designed all the stationery, with a little help from his friends, Jane who helped with the handwritten elements & Andrew who took care of the printing (see below for credits). Justin also designed the patch & pins for Leslie’s jacket and the banner we hung from the trees..

We used the color palette from the wedding day and the forest setting to create a mystical woodland vibe with lots of candles and crystals and stunning florals from Villanelle.

As a surprise for Justin, Leslie had had one of his favorite songs recorded by a mutual friend which we played at the engagement shoot for him, you can also hear it in this beautiful film from Alayna Erhart.
